Secret Garden

I started watching Secret Garden because I wanted to understand more about relationships. It was really enjoyable to watch. It was really clever of the story-writers to implement fantasy into reality and the use the concepts of fairy tales. Fairy tales have bad endings, thus the story had such climaxes.

The drama starts out being comedic but it gets serious towards the end. The story begins with a accidental encounter but eventually the audience finds out that the accidental encounter was actually a fated encounter.

For this drama, I enjoy the acting of the male actors more than the female leads. But then I’m rather biased when it comes to watching Korean drama. I tend to like male actors more.

Joo Won (Hyun bin) is very charismatic. He is stylish with his tracksuits and fashionable clothes while looking young. He looks like 21 years old instead of 34 years old in the drama that he is acting for. (As of 2012, he is currently 29). Despite having to act the role of a self-centered person, I liked his character the most.

Oska (Yoon Sang Hyun) showed the responsibility of being a caring brother and somewhat of a loyal partner when being with Seul.

I feel bad for Tae Ssun (Lee Jong Suk). Oska is straight so he wouldn’t even think of being in a couple relationship with him. It was really funny when Seul (Kim Sa Rang) had to fight against Tae Ssun in a triangle relationship for Oska. I liked his singing too. In one episode he sang Clazziquai Project’s ‘After Love’.

My favorite scene for them

The side characters that I enjoyed having the most attention was Secretary Kim and An Young. They’re so cute together, haha. Secretary Kim cares about Joo Won a lot too like a best friend. He would even resign if Joo Won is not even CEO anymore and was super nervous when Joo Won was trapped.

Director Kim is funny too especially when trying to master Joo Won’s signature and predict Joo Won’s behavior. But his curiosity got the better of him when he got Joo Won into a really dangerous situation.

I can’t believe these actors are around their late 20′s though. They all look more like early 20′s or mid 20′s.

Now I’ll just listen to the OST and think of my own situation.
